Jess works with various clients, however most often works with young adults with substance use disorders, as well as people who identify as LGBTQ+, supporting them in their transition, or other life changes. 

 

Jess utilizes various approaches in therapy tailored to the client’s needs, however primarily utilizes a strengths-based and solution focused model, drawing upon client’s strengths to work towards their goal. Jess also utilizes motivational interviewing, where the primary focus is meeting the client where they are. She identifies her primary goal with a client is to create a strong therapeutic alliance, and an environment where the client feels safe. Once this is established, the work can begin.

 

Jess is Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, having worked across various levels of care and with various populations. Jess has extensive experience working with substance use disorders, which is where her passion for therapy and advocacy began.

Jess enjoys traveling with her partner, hanging out with her dog, and trying new coffee everywhere she goes!
