How would you describe your Training and Education?
Jennifer Davenport received her undergraduate degrees in both Addiction Counseling and Psychology from Camden County College and Rowan University. Her Masters in Addiction Counseling was completed at Grand Canyon University. Jennifer has worked in the field of mental health and addictions for well over a decade with the past eight being in a supervisor role in addition to direct client care. She have obtained subsequent specialized training, experience, and credentialing to treat both gambling and sexual addiction as well as betrayal trauma. Beyond this, she also received specialized training in trauma and EMDR.
How would you describe your Professional Approach and Style?
Jennifer Utilizes a treatment approach that is tailored to meet the specific and unique needs of each individual or couple she works with. These approaches are often eclectic and may include CBT, DBT, SFT, with a psychodynamic approach often interwoven. a Good rapport is the successful cornerstone of successful therapy and she works to establish an individual rapport with each person from the very beginning. Jennifer views therapy as a collaborative commitment and is committed to assisting and empowering clients to reach their goals in a supportive and judgement free environment.
What areas would you say you have Expertise in?
Through Jennifer's tenure in the behavioral health field, she has continued to develop her expertise in the treatment of addictive disorders. Beyond substance use disorders, Jennifer has also gained knowledge, experience, and credentialing in the treatment of problematic gambling behaviors as well as compulsive sexual behaviors. She also has acquired a depth of experience in working with co-occurring disorders, relationship challenges, trauma, andinfidelity or betrayal trauma.
When not working, Jennifer enjoys reading and learning. She also volunteers for a local cat rescue and spends a good deal of time doing all things cats!!
