Training and Education:
Kristen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rowan University in 2023. While there, she worked in a research lab focused on behavioral health and integrated treatment, where she recruited participants for a study on populations who vape. That work is what pulled her toward behavioral health and substance use treatment as a career — and it's why she approaches the intake side of the practice with a genuine understanding of the people on the other end of the phone.
Professional Development Goals:
Kristen is often the first person you'll talk to at NJ Recovery & Wellness, and she takes that seriously. Her focus is simple: helping prospective clients find the care they're actually looking for. When the practice has a clinician who's a strong fit, she connects you. When it doesn't, she goes a step further — scouting a referral within the practice's network so you leave with a real next step rather than a dead end. For Kristen, the goal isn't just filling the schedule; it's making sure you get the right care, here or elsewhere.
What do you enjoy most about what you do?
Kristen specializes in client outreach, intake, and referral coordination. She's the bridge between a first phone call and the right clinician, and she's built real skill in listening to what someone needs, matching them to the appropriate provider, and navigating a local network of practices when an outside referral serves the client better. She's also focused on continuing to grow her administrative expertise within a behavioral health setting.
On a Personal Note
Outside of work, Kristen loves trying new recipes, going to concerts, and getting dinner with friends.
