How would you describe your Training and Education?
Zach is a Licensed Associate Counselor in the state of New Jersey and holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Caldwell University. He completed his internship with the Mental Health Association of New Jersey, where he worked with individuals and families navigating the challenges of supporting loved ones with mental health and addiction disorders. During this time, he provided both individual and group counseling, helping clients manage relational stress, grief, and complex family dynamics.
How would you describe your Professional Approach and Style?
Through his clinical and case management experience, Zach has worked with a diverse range of clients, including those with severe and persistent mental health conditions, elderly adults, and families. His therapeutic approach is eclectic and tailored to each client’s needs, drawing from skills-based methods such as CBT and DBT, as well as person-centered and existential frameworks. Collaboratively, Zach and his clients fine-tune the approach to align with individual goals, fostering motivation, insight, and meaningful progress throughout the therapeutic process.
What areas would you say you have Expertise in?
Zach has significant experience supporting individuals and families across a range of challenges. His expertise includes grief, LGBTQ+ issues, work with adult men, emerging adults, and teens navigating school-based concerns, as well as clients managing severe and persistent mental health conditions. He provides tailored, compassionate care to meet the unique needs of each population.
On a Personal Note
Outside of his professional work, Zach values both personal time and meaningful connections with others. He enjoys physical activity, cooking, and sharing meals and experiences with friends and family. His hobbies include gardening, hiking, skiing, writing poetry, and meeting new people, all of which help him maintain balance and stay engaged with the world around him.
