How would you describe your Training and Education?
Steven earned his Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University and completed his internship at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. During this time, he gained extensive experience across the full spectrum of substance use care, including detox, inpatient, dual-diagnosis inpatient, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient, and outpatient settings.
How would you describe your Professional Approach and Style?
Steven utilizes a client-centered approach, integrating techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and achieve their personal and therapeutic goals. He emphasizes building a strong therapeutic alliance within a safe, supportive environment, empowering clients to explore challenges and leverage their strengths to foster growth and lasting change.
What areas would you say you have Expertise in?
Steven specializes in supporting individuals with substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. He works with both adolescents and adults, providing tailored, evidence-based care to meet each client’s unique needs.
On a Personal Note
Outside of work, Steven enjoys photography, golf, snowboarding, and spending quality time with his children. These activities allow him to stay active, creative, and connected to what he values most.
