How would you describe your Training and Education?
Megan holds a bachelor’s degree in Administration of Justice from Salve Regina University and a master’s degree in School Counseling from Montclair State University, where she also completed coursework for her professional counseling certification. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a former Certified School Counselor in New Jersey, with experience in both clinical and school-based settings. Over the years, Megan has supported clients across a range of social-emotional challenges and has volunteered extensively in non-profit grief support programs, helping individuals navigate loss and transition.
How would you describe your Professional Approach and Style?
Megan’s therapeutic approach is primarily person-centered, emphasizing collaboration and building a strong therapeutic relationship. She integrates training in Internal Family Systems, CBT, and trauma-informed care to help clients build resilience and practical coping skills. Megan meets clients where they are, fostering a supportive and understanding environment that empowers individuals to make meaningful changes. Having explored multiple career paths herself, she brings empathy to those seeking purpose and direction and is passionate about helping clients navigate life’s challenges and transitions.
What areas would you say you have Expertise in?
Megan is experienced in working with children, adolescents, and adults, with a particular focus on grief, anxiety, depression, and supporting the LGBTQ+ community. She has also volunteered extensively in non-profit grief support programs, bringing additional depth and empathy to her work. Megan is committed to providing tailored support that meets each client’s unique needs, helping them build resilience, improve mental health, and enhance overall well-being.
On a Personal Note
Outside of her professional work, Megan enjoys cooking, traveling, attending live music events, trying new restaurants, and binge-watching her favorite ’90s comfort shows. She values spending time with her husband, family, and friends, particularly at the beach. Megan is passionate about helping others heal and bringing empathy and care to her work and everyday life.
