How would you describe your Training and Education?
Juliana earned her master’s degree in Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health from Montclair State University, building a foundation grounded in both rigorous academic study and meaningful clinical experience. During her training, she completed internships in substance abuse intensive outpatient and outpatient programs, as well as within a marriage and family therapy practice. These experiences allowed her to develop a strong clinical presence in fast-paced, multidisciplinary settings and strengthened her commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care.
After graduation, Juliana continued working in IOP and OP levels of care, gaining further expertise in supporting clients with co-occurring disorders, relapse prevention, and emotional regulation. She has also completed specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gambling Disorder, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
How would you describe your Professional Approach and Style?
Juliana’s approach to therapy is rooted in a person-centered philosophy, grounded in the belief that individuals have an innate capacity for growth when provided with genuine empathy, safety, and understanding. She works collaboratively with clients, allowing their goals, strengths, and lived experiences to guide the direction and pace of therapy. While person-centered principles form the foundation of her work, Juliana flexibly incorporates a range of modalities—including CBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), DBT, EMDR, and somatic-based therapies—to tailor interventions to each client’s unique needs. Her style is warm, collaborative, and grounded.
What areas would you say you have Expertise in?
Juliana specializes in supporting clients with co-occurring disorders, trauma, mood disorders, addiction, personality disorders, and PTSD. She provides evidence-based, individualized care to help clients build resilience, develop coping skills, and achieve meaningful, lasting change.
On a Personal Note
Outside of work, Juliana enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying physically active—whether through Pilates, walking her dog, or playing tennis—reading, and continually learning new things.
