How would you describe your Training and Education?
Jennifer Davenport brings extensive experience in addiction treatment, substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, and recovery to New Jersey Recovery and Wellness. Since 2014, she has provided direct care to diverse populations across outpatient settings in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Jennifer has also served as a Clinical Director, further deepening her expertise in addiction treatment and clinical leadership.
How would you describe your Professional Approach and Style?
Jennifer Davenport is a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) and a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS). She holds a Master of Science in Addiction Counseling from Grand Canyon University, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rowan University, and an Applied Associate of Science in Addiction Counseling from Camden County College. Jennifer plans to pursue a doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and is an active member of the American Counseling Association, reflecting her commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
What areas would you say you have Expertise in?
Jennifer recognizes that addiction is a disease affecting not only the individual but also their loved ones. She emphasizes the importance of involving family members in treatment when appropriate, with the client’s informed consent, and of using a variety of therapeutic approaches to strengthen relationships and support recovery. Jennifer understands that each client presents with unique challenges and strengths, and she collaborates with them to develop individualized treatment goals. Her approach is tailored to the client’s circumstances, needs, and personal goals, fostering a supportive environment that empowers lasting growth and recovery.
On a Personal Note
When not providing therapy, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her cats and senior dog, reading, and continuously learning new things.
