How would you describe your Training and Education?

Heather earned her bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and Psychology from the University of Delaware and her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University. She completed her internship at the Albert Bo Robinson Assessment and Treatment Center, where she provided trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT, co-occurring treatment, anger management, and parenting groups for individuals who were incarcerated.

How would you describe your Professional Approach and Style?

Heather takes a collaborative, client-centered approach, integrating evidence-based techniques such as CBT and DBT within a trauma-informed framework. She emphasizes understanding each client’s unique experiences, meeting them where they are, and tailoring interventions to support coping, resilience, and personal growth. Heather blends structured skills training with empathetic, supportive guidance, helping clients navigate anxiety, PTSD, life transitions, and co-occurring concerns in a safe and empowering environment.

What areas would you say you have Expertise in?

Heather specializes in supporting individuals navigating co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns, trauma, life transitions, anxiety, and PTSD. She provides evidence-based, trauma-informed care tailored to each client’s unique needs, helping them develop coping skills, build resilience, and achieve meaningful personal growth.

On a Personal Note

Outside of work, Heather enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, reading mysteries, dancing, and attending concerts. These activities help her stay balanced, energized, and connected to the things she values most.
