How would you describe your Training and Education?
Aliyah is a Licensed Social Worker in New Jersey. She earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Psychology from Kean University and completed her Master of Social Work at Barry University. Aliyah has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of community-based treatment settings.
How would you describe your Professional Approach and Style?
Aliyah utilizes an integrative, client-centered approach, tailoring therapy to each individual’s needs. She draws from modalities such as somatic techniques, IFS, ACT, CBT, DBT, Mindfulness-based practices, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Humanistic and Existential frameworks. She also provides EMDR for trauma and uses the Gottman Method with couples. Aliyah focuses on supporting clients who are ready to make meaningful change, deepen self-understanding, and move through whatever is standing in the way of their goals.
What areas would you say you have Expertise in?
Aliyah works with clients across the lifespan, most often supporting those in early to mid-adulthood, individuals navigating self-esteem and emotional regulation challenges, and clients with trauma histories. She also works with anxiety, depression, co-occurring disorders, grief, and relationship concerns, providing individualized care for children, adolescents, couples, and families.
On a Personal Note
Outside of work, Aliyah enjoys reading, biking, swimming, and spending meaningful time with her family. She values balance, creativity, and connection, and brings that same grounded presence into her work with clients as they navigate their own paths toward clarity and growth.
