How would you describe your Training and Education?
Steven received his Master's in Social Work from Rutgers University, where he interned at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. During his internship, Steven gained valuable experience across all levels of care within the substance use continuum, including Detox, Inpatient, Dual-Diagnosis Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization Programs, Intensive Outpatient, and Outpatient settings.
How would you describe your Professional Approach and Style?
Steven's therapeutic approach is rooted in a strengths-based perspective. He focuses on highlighting his clients' strengths while delving into the core of their challenges through an exploration of their life experiences. He emphasizes the importance of building a strong rapport with clients and creating a trustworthy, safe environment. This approach fosters a sense of security, allowing clients to work towards their therapeutic goals with confidence.
What areas would you say you have Expertise in?
Steven specializes in treating Substance Use Disorders, as well as Depression and Anxiety. He also has experience working with Trauma-Focused cases and individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Steven works with adults and adolescents, offering targeted support tailored to their unique needs.
On a Personal Note
When he’s not working, Steven enjoys following his favorite sports teams, spending quality time with his family, and playing golf. He is also an avid photographer, continually honing his craft in his free time.
