How would you describe your Training and Education?

Juliana received her Master's Degree in Counseling from Montclair State University. She began her career interning at an Intensive Outpatient Program for a Substance Abuse Facility. Over the years, Juliana has worked extensively in Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient Programs, specializing in Co-Occurring Disorders. She has also gained valuable experience working with children, families, and couples in a Private Family Therapy practice. Juliana has pursued additional training in areas such as Addiction, Gambling Disorder, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Clinical Supervision, and Trauma-Informed Treatment.

How would you describe your Professional Approach and Style?

Juliana’s therapeutic approach is relational, with a person-centered orientation that integrates interventions from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and trauma-informed modalities. She believes the therapeutic alliance is the most important factor for success and growth in therapy. Juliana is committed to creating a supportive and safe space for her clients, helping them work towards their goals collaboratively and compassionately.

What areas would you say you have Expertise in?

Juliana specializes in treating clients with Substance Use Disorders, Co-Occurring Substance and Mental Health Disorders, Mood Disorders, Complex Trauma, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

On a Personal Note

Outside of work, Juliana enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and adorable pets. She is passionate about reading, traveling, learning new things, staying active, and pursuing creative interests.
